Some love stories shine brightest in the details , and Alex and Janessa’s session was overflowing with them.
Alex reached out wanting to thoughtfully plan the entire experience, and together we landed on the Colorado Springs School for their engagement photos. From the moment we arrived, it was clear it was the perfect choice. The architecture is absolutely stunning , timeless, elegant, and full of character. Paired with the soft, dreamy lighting, it truly felt like something straight out of a storybook. Whimsical, classic, and effortlessly romantic.
As beautiful as the setting was, one detail completely stopped me in my tracks: Janessa’s ring. Alex designed it himself, and it’s nothing short of incredible. Not only does it feature the most delicate engraving, but the stone is held by a lotus, a detail that feels even more meaningful knowing Janessa has a lotus tattoo. A symbol clearly close to her heart, lovingly woven into something she’ll carry forever. Safe to say… I was blown away.
This session was full of quiet moments, laughter, and intentional choices that reflected exactly who Alex and Janessa are together. Thoughtful, creative, and deeply connected. It was such an honor to capture a love story so carefully crafted, right down to the smallest, most meaningful details.
