35mm film is still photography, just captured on an actual roll of film instead of a digital camera. It has a dreamy, timeless quality with natural grain, softer colors, and little imperfections that make every image feel completely unique.
I love using 35mm for the in-between moments, getting ready, details, quiet moments with your people, portraits, champagne, dancing, and all of the little things happening around you. It blends beautifully into your digital gallery while giving you a handful of images that feel like they could have been pulled from another era.
Super 8 is moving film , little snippets of your day captured as video on actual Super 8 film. Instead of posed, polished footage, it gives you something that feels nostalgic, raw, and incredibly personal. Think your partner laughing during your vows, your dress moving in the wind, your friends dancing, someone tearing up during a speech, driving to your ceremony, or all of those tiny moments you didn’t even realize were happening. Super 8 isn't meant to replace traditional wedding videography. It's more like a time capsule of your day, imperfect, nostalgic, and full of movement.

FAQ
WHO WILL BE DOING THE FILM?
Either myself or my partner will be handling your film coverage during your session! Typically, I’ll be capturing the 35mm film while he handles the Super 8, but we may occasionally switch things up depending on the day.
If he isn’t able to join me for your super 8 session, no worries at all , I’ll happily take care of all of the film coverage myself!
why film or super 8?
Because sometimes a photo isn’t enough , you want to remember how it felt. Film and Super 8 give you those nostalgic, imperfect, emotional moments that feel like stepping back into the day.
what are the risks?
Film is beautifully imperfect, which is part of what makes it so special! Because it’s physical film, there is always a small risk of things like light leaks, exposure issues, damage, or loss during processing, and film also takes longer to develop and return than digital images. While I take every precaution to protect your film, some things are ultimately outside of my control.
How does film fit into my session?
Film is woven naturally into your day alongside your digital coverage! I’ll capture the moments that feel especially meaningful on film , from details and portraits to candid little moments, emotion, and all the in-between stuff happening around you.
Will my film photos look different from my digital photos?
Yes! That’s part of the magic. Film has its own natural grain, colors, texture, and softness that gives your images a more nostalgic and timeless feeling, while still blending beautifully with your digital gallery.
Can I add film after I’ve already booked?
Absolutely! As long as I have availability for the type of coverage you’re looking for, film can be added on at any point before your wedding or session with atleast 2 weeks notice.
When will I receive my film photos or Super 8 video?
Film takes longer to process than digital photography because everything has to be physically developed and scanned. Your film and Super 8 will be delivered separately from your digital gallery once processing is complete, and I’ll always keep you updated along the way.
